Automated backups

A tool for all your back-ups, internal and external!

Keep your Odoo data safe with this module. Take automated back-ups, remove them automatically and even write them to an external server through an encrypted tunnel. You can even specify how long local backups and external backups should be kept, automatically!

Want to go even further and write your backups to an external server? You can with this module! Specify the credentials to the server, specify a path and everything will be backed up automatically. This is done through an SSH (encrypted) tunnel, thanks to pysftp, so your data is safe!

Want to make sure if the connection details are correct and if Odoo can automatically write them to the remote server? Simply click on the 'Test SFTP Connection' button and you will get message telling you if everything is OK, or what is wrong!

E-mail on backup failure

Stay informed of problems, automatically!

Do you want to know if the database backup failed? Check the checkbox 'Auto. E-mail on backup fail' and fill in your e-mail. Every time a backup fails you will get an e-mail in your mailbox with technical details.

Instalation Issue on Odoo.sh

Hello Yenthe, I've used this app which works great for on-premise databases. But Im trying to use it in an Odoo.sh environment to backup-up to an external server but cant get it to work. I get the following error: Error ! No such database exists! Detalles de error: No status line received - the server has closed the connection Is it compatible with odoo.sh architecture? Thank you and best regards

Hey Maximiliano,

That's correct. Odoo.sh is currently not (yet) supported. See our docs at https://github.com/Yenthe666/auto_backup#45-running-on-odoosh which mention this.
Furthermore we're aware of this and have an idea on how we could build it in another way with an on-top app. (https://github.com/Yenthe666/auto_backup/issues/162#issuecomment-1425604756).

we deployed your module on odoo.sh for v-10, but we are unable to configure via SFTP. we faced the error as " Connection refused "

Connection Test Failed! Here is what we got instead: No hostkey for host xx.xx.xx.xx ... to solve this probleme you need to use paramiko, otherwise download version 11.0 and install it on odoo 10 instance, it works perfectly from different servers in different networks

Works OK for Odoo 10 CE - just read instructions. Yenthe has published his blog (https://www.odoo.yenthevg.com/automated-backups-in-odoo/) + added some instructions on Github (see repository above). I had only 2 issues: 1) Backup directory was not accessible by Odoo user => no backups created (but no error) 2) list_db parameter in .odoorc or conf must be set to True, otherwise I kept getting error of "Database doesn't exist"

when i install this and run automatic backup the size of database be smaller then manual backup ...

I can't seem to find the configuration options for the backup when looking in Settings -> Technical (this is with ODOO version 10).

Hello there, I am facing big issue on odoo 10 CE, when I download it, restart odoo, start of odoo froze and dont move. It froze when loading module mail 2017-10-13 09:08:27,111 2546 DEBUG db odoo.modules.loading: loading module mail (19/ 63)

Hello I downloaded the module and use for odoo 9 when I try to backup for zip file it will get success message but file not saved and if I try to save dump file at that time it will work perfect
