1. Create Purchase Comparison
To create Purchase Comparison, select more than one RFQs and go to "Action > Create Purchase Comparison" dropdown menu.
Criteria for RFQs used in Purchase Comparison:
- Are in Draft state
- Have different vendors
- Have same companies
- Have order lines
- Have equal quantity of same products
- Have "Research" Purchase type
2. Select users to vote.
When you click "Create Purchase Comparison" button, this window will open. You can select however many users you want. These users will be able to vote for their preferred RFQ in the Purchase Comparison. You can also use indications, which is optional.
Now our Puchase Comparison is created:
3. Users vote.
To give their votes, users press "Edit" button.
And give their votes in the corresponding line.
If they try to vote in place of other users, a warning is displayed.
4. Send the Purchase Comparison to a Purchase Manager.
The other user has voted. Now anyone can send the Purchase Comparison to a Purchase Manager by clicking on "Send to Manager" button.
Purchase Comparison switches to "Sent to Manager" state.
5. Purchase Manager either confirms or cancels the Purchase Comparison.
In this case PO00023 is chosen, because there are only two users and the vote of last user makes final decision. If the Purchase Manager accepts it, they confirm the Purchase Comparison.
When they click "Confirm" button, a confirmation box is displayed.
6. After the Purchase Comparison's confirmation, the chosen RFQ becomes PO and the lost RFQs get cancelled.
When Purchase Manager confirms the Purchase Comparison, it switches to "Done" state and a new field "Chosen PO" shows the chosen order.
The chosen RQF is now in "Purchase Order" state. Two fields "Purchase Comparison" and "Is lost" display Purchase Comparison information. Because this is the chosen PO, "Is lost" field is not checked.
As for lost RFQs, they are cancelled. And their "Is lost" fields are checked.
7. Canceling a Purchase Comparison.
If the Purchase Manager decides to cancel a confirmed Purchase Comparison, the following confirmation box is displayed.
If they proceed, the Purchase Comparison switches to "Cancelled" state and the "Chosen PO" field is now gone.
As mentioned before, all RFQs, including the chosen PO, are now back to "Draft" state.
8. Setting a Purchase Comparison back to Draft.
If the Purchase Manager decides to set the cancelled Purchase Comparison to Draft state, they click the "Set to Draft" button.
Purchase Comparison's state change log is always recorded.
9. Purchase Comparison indication settings (Optional).
You can create and edit indication category while creating a Purchase Comparison.
Purchase Comparison indication settings are located in Purchases > Configuration > Comparison Indication menu.
10. Exporting Purchase Comparison
To export Purchase Comparisons, check them and click on Action > Export dropdown menu.
11. Miscellaneous fields
At any Purchase Comparison state you can enter Saving amount and Conclusion text.

How do I install the module?
You need to copy paste the module that is inside the zip file to your addons folder. If you are installing the module into an existing database, you need to enable the Technical Features to click on Apps > Update Apps List. Your new module will now appear in the list of apps that you can install.
