What this application does
- Users can specify a section for Product Templates and Product Categories
- When Product is changed (onchange event triggered) on a sales order line / an invoice line, Odoo will lookup the product and its category settings to find if a section is available. If found, it will automaticall fill it into the sales order line / invoice line accordingly.
- The section lookup mechanism: Upon changing of product field on a sales order line / an invoice line, Odoo will check if a section is specified for the selected product. If one is found, it will automatically be filled into the section field of the corresponding sale order line / invoice line. If not, it will lookup the product's category and its parent categories until one is found. If one found, it will be used. Otherwise, nothing will be done.
- When an invoice is created from a sales order, the sections on the invoice lines of the corresponding invoice will be selected from the original sales order lines. If none is specified from the original sales order, fallback to default behavior as above described.
