App Description

Prerequisite 1: setting up boto3 on AWS.

Please refer to the « boto3_on_aws_configuration.pdf » document in the description folder of this module.

Notice:

Please install boto3 by " pip3 install boto3 "

Please give rights to emailing_multiple_langs/static/description folder "chmod -R 777 ../emailing_multiple_langs/static/description "

Prerequisite 2 : configure smtp server (outgoing) on odoo.

Reference : you can follow this link for the configuration of your outgoing smtp server in odoo.

• Send and receive emails in Odoo with an email server

Notice: You will need to enable two-step verification on the gmail account you filled in « Username » in odoo "see link above". then continue gmail's two-step verification procedure until gmail automatically generates the password. It is this password that you must fill in on « Password » in odoo "see the link above".

Step 1 : Setup boto3 on odoo

All you have to do is fill in the « Boto3 Configuration » part, the region value on « Region Name » , the value of your aws access key on « Id aws access key » , and the value of the key token aws access key to « aws access key token » .

Notice : This information you will need to have when you were configuring boto3 on aws. Hence the need to fulfill prerequisite 1.

Note : If the contact language is not defined then the email will be in the default language

Step 2 : Setup product

You can create and configure your product via the « Articles » menu of the Emailing multiple languages module. To do this, you first need to fill in the mandatory information on the « General information » tab as shown in the figure above.
Secondly, you just need to click on the “eCommerce” tab to add your additional images as shown in the image below.

Once click on the "eCommerce" tab, please click on the "Add" button. A window will appear allowing you to add your additional images.
Notice : You can only add up to 4 additional images.

Finally, you just have to click on “Save” to finalize the configuration of your product. Of course this is after adding all your additional images ( NB: 4 images maximum).

Feature 1 : Translation of the product according to the activated languages.

After configuring the product, you will need to translate it. To do this, just click on the smart button named « Translations » . The product will then be translated to the languages you have activated on your odoo instance.

For this demonstration, we have activated two languages « French and english »

The image above shows the translation of our product in French and English.

Feature 2 : Create a mailing from a contact list

You can create a mail merge from the contact card. To do this, simply select your contacts then click on Email Marketing As shown in the picture below.

Notice : For the chosen contacts, please make sure that the language has been correctly entered on their file.

Feature 3 : Generation of a product template for mailing

To create a mailing, simply click on the « mailings » menu then create your mailing.
