Attendance Geolocation

Adds to Odoo standard attendance system (also KIOSKMODE) the posibility of Geolocate the employee when check-in/check-out.

  • Mandatory at several types of companies whose workers works outside of the main HQ, to check if the employee are at the project site.
  • Makes use of the standard HTML5 geolocation API, so it works perfectly with all modern browsers, including mobile ones.
  • Works better with terminals equiped with GPS (mobile phones/tablets), gets better precision.
  • GDPR/RGPD COMPLIANCE, explicit employee consent is stored and only with it the geolocation us activated.
  • Each geolocated check-in/out stores OS and userAgent used by employee.
  • Needs user consent to enable browser geolocation. It registers every exception/problem, including if the user deny consent.
  • THIS MODULE DOES NOT REQUIRE GoogleMaps API KEY. Doesn't rely on Google API, so no hidden cost added. Uses standard HTML5 browser Geolocation API.
  • IMPORTANT -> GEOLOCATION API MAY ONLY WORKS WITH HTTPS CONNECTIONS. So your Odoo instance must be configured in https mode.
  • Map Link generated with a system parameter. Default is Google Maps, you can change it in System Parameters (hr_attendance_geolocate.url_pattern) with a url pattern including %LAT% and %LONG% to indicate this parameters position.

    Employee must consent to be geolocated, new option at user preferences

    Employee form has a new option to enable the employee geolocation. By default is active.

    Attendances Tree view shows geolocation info, and direct link to Google Maps

    Attendances Form view shows extended geolocation info, and direct link to Maps

    Maps link shows the user location when checkin/out

    Kioskmode works out of the box just as normal way, if you have any issue please send us a mail and we help you solve it.

    Hi,

    Of course not. Is one of the main features. GoogleMaps is just used to show location on map. Is not integrated, when you click on user location, a new web tab is opened with googlemaps web.

    On app configuration you can change it by another map that accepts Long LAT parameters.

    We haven't tested it on Odoo Enterprise App V.12. You can use it on mobile browsers with the Enterprise or Community responsive web, and there the module works perfect. Please contact us via email at info@sinerkia.com and we can try to find a way to test it on your config. Thank you,

    Did the location map pics the location the moment you check in ? or its picking the logging address ?

    The app gets user location when the user clicks the CHECKIN/CHECKOUT button, so it is always updated.
