Password Validation module is a very useful odoo addon which allows you to create strong Password for Users while Sign in. In standard odoo, there is no validation for the password.
Key Features
As soon as the user enters the email ID, the Valid/Invalid pop-up will start showing on the Signup page.
User has to Follow Password Criteria for creating/resetting passwords during signup or reset password sessions.
Password Criteria pop-up will show on the signup page.
User can toggle visibility of password using the eye icon.
Two colored pop-up will show, red to show invalid line and green to show valid line.
- Navigate to Settings >> General Settings.
- Scroll to the User's Section and enable Free sign up in Customer Account.
- Navigate to the Sign in Page and click on Don't have an account? option.
- You will be redirected to Create account page.
- User will be Prompted to add valid email id.
- The pop-up will turn green on entering a valid email id.
- It will restrict a user from entering a password that doesn't passes password criteria.
- The Passed Validation will turns green and the failed once will be shown in Red.
- The user's password will be accepted once all the criteria are met.
- User can make the password visible/invisible by clicking on the eye icon.
- Password and Confirm Password should match.
