Odoo 13 POS Kitchen Screen (Enterprise)

POS kitchen Screen shows orders and their state to Cook and Manager

Note: This module is tested and working in Enterprise Edition. And we are supporting Ubuntu OS and not Windows OS.

Features

    - Kitchen screen is for staff to see order that has been placed.
    - It will also show particular table orders.
    - Kitchen screen has two user category: Cook and Manager.
    - Cook can only see and update order of specified categories.
    - Manger can see all categories orders and table orders.
    - Manager and cook user can print receipt from listview and kanban view (Via Posbox Thermal Print).
    - Manager can change kitchen state based on order and product wise.

How to use

  • To enable kitchen screen view, here is the configuration.
  • You can set kitchen screen user as cook or manger and assign categories by which you can give right to see order that belongs to given category.
  • Separate pos should be configured for the cook user.


  • Send to kitchen button can be used for table service.
  • For counter service simply place order and it will be send to kitchen.
  • Add note button is used to write a note on particular order line.
  • If user is manager kitchen screen button will be visible.

  • Manager can see screen that is shown below by clicking kitchen screen button.
  • You can see order note below the order in red line.
  • By clicking on information icon you can see table order note.

  • Manger can also see list view of orders and also have filtration buttons of specified categories in settings.

  • For table service restaurants, order will be saved in cart and you can see the order status.

  • we can see a screen shown below when cook will log in.
  • As per order progress, cook can update state.

convenient to most of people that to update status for cooker when casher take action to remove item from order but not normal to tell casher take 2 actions when he want to remove line (first action remove line second action send to kitchen) also with the current situation the cooker and manager hasn't ability's to remove item .
i have another apps from competitor's developers on odoo version12 the standard solution contain cancel status but this status up to now not included in your system and 
i dont need to add new feature to cover my business needs i need to fix error "if casher remove that item from order already sent to cooker where item in waiting status  you must change status to cancel on cooker screen" this point classified as is "issue" not new feature

this not correct solution because the system accept to remove lines and if all order lines removed the system will delete order from cashier screen

and  cashier forget to press send to kitchen the system must sync automatically(send to kitchen auto action)  if remove order line where line status waiting

We developed generic solution where system should wait final confirmation as "send to kitchen" button signal from user and it will change data in kitchen screen.

We are trying to provide better solution which is convenient to most of people. It will not possible to cover all business cases in single module.

errors without solution up to now

i test it with your technical on my server as example check on your system again the following points 

1-when we have more than order not paid "open orders" and casher exit from system without closing session and reopen system again 

then the point of sale removed all orders from pos screen except the first one only and when you go to close session you will found all removed orders in draft/unpaid 
status
2-all orders sent to kitchen after cooker change the first status for item and go to cashier screen tray to remove item line then the system will accept that and this is very big issue to allow to chaser remove order line that changed states
3-if no printer defined on cooker and tray to print order from cooker screen you will found bug in "pos.js" file  with code line point to "self.pos.proxy.printer.print_receipt(report);" line no 575
please if the 3 points is ok on your system then arrange for online meeting to show me that soon

Kitchen refresh order

2 errors - first one when cashier send order to kitchen we need to manual refresh every time 


second error  that when cooker user press on any product category then the screen shows more orders than the current cashier orders sent  and i don't know from where the difference orders shows
