POS LOT SELECTION - ONLINE AND OFFLINE

This module is used to enable Lots / Serial Number selection for products in online and offline mode (Point of Sale Interface).

Highlights

Quantity Displayed against Lot

Quantity Displayed against each Lot / Serial Number in the drop down.

Works both in Online and Offline

PoS Lot Selection works both for online and Offline (Network failure).

Warning against insufficient Stock

A warning will be displayed against insufficient stock for each lot / Serial Number.

Advantages

In POS Interface screen, when Product(s) with Lots is selected --> The pop up wizard displays all available 'Lots / Serial Numbers' in dropdown menu along with its respective Quantities.
Lot / Serial Number selection Works in Offline Mode (Network failure).
Warning is set to select Unique Serial Number per product quantity.
"Stock Unavailablity" Warning is set per Lot of respective product, when allocating more than onhand quantity.

Benefits

While Processing the payment (in offline mode), on click of Validate button, reduces the onhand stock for respective Product(s) against the selected lot / Serial number.
When session is back online, system automatically updates Stock for respective Lots / Serial Number of products for validated orders transacted in offline mode
Validated Stock Moves transacted in offline mode are stored in Cache memory and will be updated in the database once session is back online (Go to Inventory menu -> click product sub menu --> select products to view the onhand stock).

Products with Lots: In the POS screen --> Select required Product(s) --> Select respective Lot Number from drop down in the pop up wizard which displays respective available quantities against Lot(s) --> click Ok button. Products with Serial Number : In the POS screen --> Select required Product(s) --> Select respective Serial Number per quantity from dropdown menu in the pop up wizard --> click Ok button - Example for Serial number:

In POS module --> Go to POS Orders under 'Orders' menu --> Select & Open respective POS order.

Go to 'Extra Info' tab --> Click on the Picking created. Find the Lot / Serial Number in the picking.

Is this app compatible with Odoo Enterprise as well as Community?

Yes, the app works perfectly well with Odoo Enterprise as well as Odoo Community. Odoo Online (Cloud) does not allow installation of third-party apps and hence this app cannot be installed on Odoo Online.

How To Use

Stock on-hand for respective products against Lots & Serial number.

Create New Session or Resume a POS session (online mode)

Products with Lots:: In the POS screen --> Select required Product(s) --> Select respective Lot Number from drop down in the pop up wizard which displays respective available quantities against Lot(s) --> click Ok button.
