GoExcel Delivery Charge by Distance
This module helps you to calculate delivery charge by distance to your customer address via Google/ Bing Maps API.
Open a Sales Quotation/ Sales Order -> Order Lines -> Calculate Delivery Charge
Click Get Distance -> Add Delivery Charge
A wizard will be opened upon clicking of the Calculate Delivery Charge button.
Origin Address will be defaulted to the address configured in the company's information.
Delivery Address will be defaulted to the customer's address or shipping address.
Price Per KM will be defaulted to the configured amount under setting.
Number of Trips will be default to 1.
Once Get Distance button is clicked, Distance will be retrived via Google/Bing Maps API.
Total Price = Price per KM X Number of Trips X Distance
Once Add Delivery Charge button is clicked, Default Delivery Charge Product that configured under setting will be added to the order line.
Configuration of Company Address
Setting -> Users & Companies -> Select company -> Address
Origin Address will be defaulted to the company address. If Set Origin Address is checked, you can use other origin address
Configuration of Maps API
In Sales, go to Configuration -> Settings
Select Maps API type. You can get the API from Google or Bing Maps platform.
The Google and Bing Documentation. As of Apr 2020, Google Map API usage may incurred fee. Bing Map API is Free.
You can select delivery charge product that will be added to order line item.
You can set default price per km that use to calculate delivery charge.
