The tool works for the button 'Send message' under any Odoo document
Before (if the tool is NOT installed)

As soon as the button 'Send message' is pressed, the app redirects to the full-featured pop-up email composer window
Great module! Works great for our use case.
I was looking for a module like this to use in v12 for quite some time. Odoo tools have great support! They told me they would be updating this and it was done ahead of schedule from what they said. They also listen to customer feedback. Best of all they have released it as a free module. We also use some of there other paid modules and they have been great.
Practical little extension
Very useful to highlight the difference between "Email Message" and "Log". Developers respond very quick!

Please include in your request as many details as possible: screenshots, Odoo server logs, a full description of how to reproduce your problem, and so on. Usually, it takes a few business days to prepare a working plan for an issue (if a bug is confirmed) or provide you with guidelines on what should be done (otherwise).
Public features requests and module ideas (free development)
We are strongly motivated to improve our tools and would be grateful for any sort of feedback. In case your requirements are of public use and might be efficiently implemented, the team would include those in our to-do list.
Such a to-do list is processed on a regular basis and does not assume extra fees. Although we cannot promise deadlines and final design, it might be a good way to get desired features without investments and risks.

Very useful to highlight the difference between "Email Message" and "Log". Developers respond very quick!
So if I click send message at the bottom of a contact it used to save that message in the chatter. If this module does not change anything then why now does clicking that exact same button require me to select the model contacts and then the contact? If I do not select it then the chatter does not record it anymore.
It is coming up and asking for us to define what record type and then the record to attach the message from. Cant it tell that automatically since it is being launched from the contact?

Hello! The app does not regulate the described behavior. The only goal of the module is to open the full composer view. So the tool does not change followers' suggestions and other standard Odoo features.
