WhatsApp has become the most popular texting platform with over 2 billion users. We have built an app which allows you to use WhatsApp to raise customer support tickets. These tickets can be assigned to Customer Support Executives.
WhatsApp Helpdesk Features
Answer automatically simple support queries.
Create helpdesk tickets from WhatsApp messages.
Allocate tickets to executives and reply to customers with WhatsApp messages.
Support ticket creation through email or whatsApp number.
Send whatsApp messages at every stage of the ticket.
Configuration:
Step 1: It is difficult to get a signup for WhatsApp for business directly and get access to the API as the signup process takes too long. Hence, it is better to sign up for third party whatsapp API services as Chat API. Also selenium could be used for free but it is not robust and reliable and cannot handle large volumes of load. You need to signup for Chat Api account on https://app.chat-api.com/login
First we have to login into whatsapp chat api using https://app.chat-api.com/login.
We get a whatsapp instance id & whatsapp token.
Odoo Interface:
Step 1: Go to General Settings and Paste the credentials for Whatsapp Instance and Whatsapp token copied from whatsapp chat api.
Step 2: Click on Get QR Code & scan QR code from mobile Whatsapp Web.
Step 3: After you scan the QR code from your mobile, it is authenticated.
Step 4: Configuration of bidirectional messages (send & receive messages from whatsapp in Odoo):
In odoo activate developer mode Goto Technical → System Parameters → web.base.url → Copy Value
Chat API Configuration:-
In the webhook url you need to paste the value (copied from odoo web.base.url) after that add “/whatsapp/responce/message”
Webhook url : base url + /whatsapp/responce/message
Step 5: For initiation of consumer Issues or enquiry into products or services of a business through WhatsApp chat.
Step 6: Conversion between owner and customer.

Currently, it supports only one source number and works with chat API.
