Attachment Minor and Major Versioning

Major and Minor Version Option on Attachment Creation

Document Major and Minor Version in Odoo

This app allows your users to have a document minor and major version on document attachment records.


Main Features:

  • Allow you to have an automatic version of attachments for the same file name and extension. System will create major or minor versioning of attachment as per selection of Version Update if it has the same name and same extension.
  • System will auto detect if the same file name and extension is present then the system will create versioning of the attachment of that document as per selection of version update field for major and minor.
  • For example if current version is 1.0 and if you select minor version option for new attachment then system will make new version 1.1 and for example if you have current version 1.0 and if you select major version for new attachment then system will make new version 2.0.
  • Please note that major and minor option selection is only available on attachment form as shown in below screenshots. Option for major and minor is NOT available when you attach a document from open chatter (that time system will consider the major version option as default always).
