Works BUT module has not been well thought through

I bought this module to make back dated inventory adjustment (A feature that odoo is missing). But using this module to do so will mess up your inventory numbers because of the way this module is programmed. I reached out to the developers but they say this beyond the scope of this module, so I think its fair to mention this to anyone who may be interested. The major flaw in this module is the fact that the theoretical qty is calculated on real time basis, meaning what the current inventory level is for that inventory adjustment. This will cause a big mess in use cases like mine. For example: An annual inventory count was done and Product A was found to be 1000 units on 1/1/2022. But this inventory adjustment was not done in real time. Lets say next day 2/1/2022 500 Units were delivered, remaining qty in real life: 500 units Theoretical Qty on 2/1/2022: -500 (Since Qty was 0 to begin with) On 3/1/2022: You receive 300 units, remaining Actual qty: 700 Units Theoretical Qty on 3/1/2022: -200 Now on 4/1/2022 you want to make a backdated inventory adjustment for 1/1/2022 During the Inventory Adjustment the theoretical qty will be -200 (Instead of 0, actual reflection of theoretical on backdate) You set the counted quantity for 1/1/2022 (BackDate Adjustment) as 1000. Now to do so Odoo will calculate the stock move qty 1000+200 (Since Theoretical Qty is -200) So 1/1/2022 will have a stock move of +1200 Which will show Product A to be 1000 Units after Inventory Adjustment (1200-500+300 = 1000) Whereas in real life it should be 1000-500+300 = 700 units This module should do the job if you can find out the theoretical qty for the back dated inventory adjustment, it shouldn’t be that difficult if you have a few products. But in my case this module did not help me at all. And I would not recommend it unless the developers figure out a way to calculate theoretical qty of the backdate (instead of real time, as odoo does it)

Hello, when I put a past date to do the inventory, it also shows me the existence that that product had on that specific date?

The major flaw in this module is the fact that the theoretical qty is calculated on real time basis, meaning what the current inventory level is for that inventory adjustment. Theoretical Qty on 2/1/2022: -500 (Since Qty was 0 to begin with)

On 3/1/2022: You receive 300 units, remaining Actual qty: 700 Units

    Theoretical Qty on 3/1/2022: -200

Now on 4/1/2022 you want to make a backdated inventory adjustment for 1/1/2022

During the Inventory Adjustment the theoretical qty will be -200 (Instead of 0, actual reflection of theoretical on backdate)

You set the counted quantity for 1/1/2022 (BackDate Adjustment) as 1000. Now to do so Odoo will calculate the stock move qty 1000+200 (Since Theoretical Qty is -200)

So 1/1/2022 will have a stock move of +1200

Which will show Product A to be 1000 Units after Inventory Adjustment (1200-500+300 = 1000)

Whereas in real life it should be 1000-500+300 = 700 units

This module should do the job if you can find out the theoretical qty for the back dated inventory adjustment, it shouldn’t be that difficult if you have a few products. Hi guys,

may i know if there is any limitation on how far the force date can be set?
for example, can we set a date that is 6 months back?
