Advance Routing with Bill of Material
With this module, you can select the one BOM from many in the sale order line if that product is going to be the manufacturing department. Moreover, for the component of the main product is not available in inventory then either you are going to manufacture or purchase. So, you have provision to select the route while you are taking a decision in production.
In odoo, when we have multiple bills of material for the same product then we cannot add BOM while making sale order, also the component of the main product either you are buying or manufacturing than in production user does not have any feature to select a route for each component. Presently, the Manufacturing Order of Odoo checks the stock availability of the component in one click and the system decides either purchase or manufacture on the basis of component configuration.
To overcome this case we have developed an application that enhances the features of existing Manufacturing Order in odoo. It also adds feature to select either manufacture or purchase the particular component.
Multi Bill of materials
Consider the chemical manufacturing industry which manufactures “Ethyl Acetate”. There are two production methodologies used to produce Ethyl Acetate.
BOM 1:.
Raw materials: Ethanol and Acetic Acid.
BOM 2:.
Raw materials: Acetaldehyde and Alkoxide.
So with this app, you can select BOM in while creating a sale order.
Manufacturing Order And Planning
With this app, you can create an MRP order with this enhanced feature in which you can select routing for each component and process them individually. Although Existing MRP allows us to select route but it is only in the bill of material for the main product not for components.If the user wants to buy one material and manufacture another material so he or she can select the Destination route accordingly. .
First Need to Create Bills Of Materials.
Select the Same Product in Manufacturing Orders and all BOM will appears below.
When You check the availability available products will be seen in black color line
When you click on the “Purchase or Manufacture” without selecting "Destination route", it shows Warning
When you click on the “Purchase or Manufacture” button if the product does not have any vendor than it shows waring.
When your Destination route is "Buy" and you click on "Purchase or Manufacture" It will create a purchase order in one click.
Consider that the second component will be manufactured.
And you did not select any BOM in that component. Then you will get a warning.
Now after select BOM in that component it will create an MRP order accordingly. After done that material production order.
After confirm that MRP Order ,You can see the component is now available.
When you click on "Mark as Done"
