Manage partner credit
Helps you to manage the credit of your partners.
FYI: The credit amounts are in the company currency.
- Enable users to manage partner credit.
- Stablish a credit limit.
- Allow contacts to use credit.
- Set a customer as VIP.
- Computing the remaining credit.
- Manage overdue credit.
- Credit returned from sales order cancelled.
- Credit returned from a payment.
To start to use this module, you have to configure the users who will be able to manage the partner credit, for this there is a field called "Management credit" in the user form, only you have to mark this field for the users that you want that manage this.
- Management credit: All users who have this field enable, will be able to enable the credit on partners.
- Force sales customers (credit expired): If any user has this field enabled, will be able to confirm the sales order altough the customer doesn't have enough credit.
If the field "VIP Customer" is marked, the user will be able to confirm his sales order event the customer doesn't have enough remaining credit.
This feature allows to contacts of the main company to use it's credit, if we have a sales order for a partner that is child of a company and he has the field "Use credit company" marked, then, the amount total will be subtracted to the credit of his parent company, these validations are applied in all the procesess when the credit is checked.
The field "Use credit company" will be available only for users who have the right of "Management credit", a page called "credit management" is shown with some fields which are read only.
every time we sell to a customer who has credit the amount total of the sale is subtracted to remaining credit.
As we can see the amounts related to credit in this sales order are represented in USD because this sales order is in USD.
When a sales order is in USD such in this case, the amont total is converted to local currency and then it is subtracted to the remaining credit.
If this option is enable, every time we sell to a customer who has credit and the remaining credit is over passed, the amounts that passed the remaining credit are added up to the field "Overdue credit".
As we have the field "Manage overdue credit" marked and the amount total of the sales order is higher than the remaining credit, we do the following formula remaining credit minus total amount, the result of this operations is set in the field overdue credit.
If we cancell a sales order of a customer that manages credit, the amount total of the sales order is returned, first to overdue credit if the customer has marked this field, otherwise the amount total is returned to the remaining credit.
This sales order has an amount total of 50 USD that will be returned, at the moment of the cancellation, we check if the overdue credit is marked, if it is, we subtract the amount total to overdue credit, if the result is a negative amount, then, we set overdue credit to 0 and the result is set into remaining credit.
When we receive a payment from a customer who manages credit, the amount of the payment is returned to his credit.
For this example we have this sales order with amount total of 5 USD, it was confirmed and the amount total was subtracted to remaining credit as we see in the following image.
Then, we create the invoice by this sales order, we pay it, the amount of the payment is returned to the remaining credit or overdue credit if we had marked this option, but in this case it is returned to the remaining credit.
At the moment that the payment is confirmed, the amount is returned to the remaining credit.
As we can see the amount of the payment was added up to remaining credit.
