Website URL redirect for blog / blog post
To make it easier for you to access the website, we built an URL redirect feature
inside the Odoo platform. You can make a new URL and redirect users to that
page on the website.
Following are the applications which you can create redirected url:
For the Website SEO-URL redirect, install the following applications:
- First, install the Website SEO-URL Redirect for applying redirection of URLs.
- For blogs, install the Blog SEO-URL Redirect application.
- For blogs posts, install the Blog post SEO-URL Redirect application.

When you install these applications, they will appear in the Odoo application's
Website > Configuration.
Blog SEO-URL redirect:
When you install Blog SEO-URL Redirect on your website, it will help you create a new
URL for the redirection of the blog web page.
For the blog URL, click on the Blog URL Redirects.
On the destination URL fields, you can redirect the existing blog or create a new blog using
the create button.
Click the
button to show the new redirected blog web page.
As you can see above, the web page opened with a redirected URL. To check the record of the blog destination URL, go to Configuration > Blogs.
Blog post SEO-URL redirect:
When you install the Blog SEO-URL Redirect , it will automatically be installed on the website.
following are the step to follow.
For the blog post URL, click on the Blog Post URL Redirects.
On the destination url fields, write a new URL where you can redirect the blog post.
Click the
button to show the new redirected blog post web page with new redirected URL.
As you can see above, the web page opened with a redirected URL. To check the record of the blog post destination URL, go to Configuration > Blogs.
You can typically create URL redirects through your server's configuration. When you install Blog SEO-URL Redirect on your website, it will help you create a new URL for the redirection of the blog web page.
