This app allows multi user get involve to an activity. It is also able to share documents to those users without changing any rules


Some activities you need more than one person join to activity. For example: Meeting, Discuss, or To do something together. With this app, you can select multi user get invole to an activity
When users were invited to an activity. The documents will be shared with them, they are easy to access the documents which the activity is belong to but without changing any rules. You can allow them are editable documents or read only. After the activity is done, The invited user cannot access the documents, if they don't have right access.

Default by odoo. You cannot assigne an activity to a person who couldn't access the documents (Sale Order, Invoice...) which the activity is belong to. You will get error message like below image

With this case, you should select join members option. You are still the host this activity, but the join members can help you to take over this activity.

List features:

1. Add multi user to join an activity.

2. Share documents whith join members and allow them can edit the documents or not.

3. Send a notificaiton to invited user. When they join to an activity.

4. Only show the internal user for Assinged to and Join memebers Field. Prevent to select public user or portal user.

Example 1: Add multi user to join an activity.

This case will show you how to add multi user to join an activity. We have 3 internal users


Mitchell Admin : Allow to access the both company. And This user is Sale Administrator. He can access all quotes and sale orders that they are belong the both company.


Marc Demo : Allow to access the company 1. And This user is "Own Documents Only" in sale order. He only access his quote or his sale order


John Doe : Allow to access the company 2. And This user is Sale Administrator. He can access all quotes and sale orders that they are belong company 2


User Mitchell created a quote, he create an activity belong that quote, and he want to add "Marc" and "John" join to this activity


After He confirm activity. The notificaiton will be sent to "Marc" and "John". They can access to quote "S00025". Normally, They couldn't access this quote due to limitation access right.

If user click on "1 join". It will show all documents have activity and you are join memeber of that activity


Join memeber can edit document form. If "Is Readonly Document" didn't check

User "John Doe" changed pricelist of quote
If "Is Readonly Document" was checked. Join memeber only veiw document, cannot edit anything.

Don't show edit button, print menu and action menu. They couldn't also click button on header


Join member cannot access to this document, if the activity is done or cancel.
If activity is still available. Join member can search document from the tree view.

Example 2: Share documents whith join members

In this scenario, user "John Doe" cannot access Sale module.

Try to imagine, If you want to discuss with him about a quote, and you want him to see this quote, but you don't have permission to change record rule or access rule. You should create an activity and add him as join memeber. With this way, You are easy to share that quote to him.
By Click on Activities menu, he can access to the quote that was shared via activity join member.

Example 3: Only show the internal user for Assinged to and Join memebers Field

Default by odoo, "Assinged to" field will show all users that includes public user and portal user. But Activities should be for internal user.
