Restrict Customer Pricelist Creation and updation

The Pricelist feature in Odoo is useful to set a pricing strategy to support your business. Generally, a pricelist is considered as a list of prices or price rules that determine the price of a product based on various criteria. This module facilitates admin to restrict a particular user to create new pricelist. This will definitely improves the security in keeping the pricelist in your company. Here as user settings this facility is implemented so a person with admin access can restrict this according to the level of access in the company.

Overview

Pricelist is a feature that allows you to identify your premium customers in the business and allow them to get the benefits for the trust they have with you. Here this functionality has been restricted with the security reasons and only admin can permit the users for creating the pricelist for your customers. While creating user it self or any time in the business scenario admin can permit or restrict a user to create pricelist.

Configuration and Features

Install the module. Open any user form. You can see a option in the user form to hide pricelist creation or updation. If you enable the option then the particular user will not be able to create the pricelist

When the user is trying to create or update the pricelist in the sales module. The option will not be able to create or update the Pricelist. As admin have restricted the access.

When that particular user is trying to create or update a pricelist under the customer master. There is no option to change the pricelist that is assigned by the authorized person.

In the Quotation form also this restriction is applied in place of the pricelist selection, the user will not be permitted to change the pricelist. The pricelist assigned in customer master will be applied here.

When that user is trying to create or update the pricelist in the Point of Sale settings there also this restriction is applied. The user will not be able to create or update the Pricelist.
