Enable Out Of Stock Product Restriction
Go to sales settings. Sales -> Configuration -> Settings. Under the section 'Out Of Stock Product Restriction', enables the field 'Out Of Stock Product Restriction'.
Based on On-Hand quantity.
Select 'On Hand Quantity' from the selection field and save the record.
On Hand Quantity : Sale order with out-of-stock products.
Now create a Sale order with products having less On Hand Quantity and try to confirm it.
On Hand Quantity : Restrict to Confirm.
While we're trying to confirm the order a User error is risen, so we cannot confirm the order having out-of-stock product.
Based on Forecast Quantity.
Go to the Sale settings. Enables the 'Out Of Stock Product Restriction' and select 'Forcast Quantity'. Save the record.
Forecast Quantity : Sale order with out-of-stock products.
Now create a Sale order with products having less Forcast Quantity and try to confirm it.
Forecast Quantity : Restrict to Confirm.
While we're trying to confirm the order a User error is risen, so we cannot confirm the order having out-of-stock product.
