What it does
- Add new fields into the Product Category:
- Product Sequence: to provide increment sequence for the product code.
- Product Code Prefix: that will be combined with the code generated by the sequence.
- Automatically generate and update product codes (shown as Internal Reference in the interface) based on Product Name or the defined Product Code Prefix and Product Sequence

Installation
- Navigate to Apps.
- Search with keyword to_product_code_sequence.
- Press Install.

1. Enable the Automatic Product Code Generation feature
Navigate to the Settings and check the box to enable this feature on the Units of Measure section in the General settings to use in inventory management.
2. Configure product code generation rule
Navigate to Inventory > Configuration > Product Categories, add configure the following information:
- Product Code Prefix;
- Product Sequence.
3. Create a product
When you create a new product, select the Product Category set up in the previous step, and an internal reference code will be automatically generated for this product according to the configured rules.
