What it does
In Human Resource Management, employees with one position/rank can take on different roles in each project or task. With Odoo, you can build your human resource structure in many positions, and when combined with this module, you can further manage by roles. For example: In the Consulting department, a staff with the position of Consultant & Customer Support can categorize by roles such as Project Manager, Project Coordinator, etc.

- Navigate to Apps.
- Search with keyword viin_hr_role.

1. Manage your list of roles
Go to Employees ‣ Configuration ‣ Roles to create a new list of roles by your department or company:
- Fill in the following information:
- Name: role name;
- Department: select a department in the available list or leave it blank if this role applies to the company;
- Description: description of the role.
2. Classify employees by roles
Go to Employees ‣ Employees, select an employee or create a new one. In the HR settings tab, in the Role field, select the role from the list in step 1.
3. Search, filter/group employees by roles
Go to the employees' list, and use filters or groups to search for employees by the role criterion:
