Stripe Terminal For Business Invoice/Quotation

The Stripe Terminal (Invoice/Quotation) module provides a powerful solution for businesses that aim to seamlessly accept in-person payments and integrate both their physical and digital payment channels. The Stripe Payment Terminal is an Odoo module that allows you to accept card payments using a Stripe terminal. It allows you to process payments quickly and securely, and is especially useful for businesses that need to process a high volume of transactions in a short amount of time. To use the Stripe Payment Terminal in Odoo, you will need to have a Stripe account and a compatible Stripe terminal. Once you have these set up, you can configure the Stripe Payment Terminal module in Odoo to start accepting payments.

Process

Use for Invoice/Quotation using Stripe Terminal Device..

"Test with Device or Make Live Payment"

To get the secret key for your Stripe account, follow these steps:

  • Log in to your Stripe account.
  • Click on the "Developer" tab in the top menu.
  • In the left-hand menu, click on "API Keys."
  • If test mode is enabled, toggle the switch next to "Viewing test data" to disable it.
  • Click on the "Reveal live API keys" button to view your live API keys.
  • Copy the "Secret key" value. This is your Stripe secret key.

The Stripe secret key is used to authenticate API requests made to the Stripe API. It should be kept confidential, as anyone who has access to it can potentially make API requests on your behalf. Make sure to keep your secret key secure and only share it with trusted individuals or systems.

"Access of Stripe Api Key from Stripe Website"

"Add a new device location in your Stripe account"

  • Login to your Stripe account.
  • Click on the "Payments" tab in the top menu.
  • Click on the "Readers" tab.
  • Click on the "Add Device Location" button.
  • Enter a name for the device location in the "Location name" field.
  • Enter the address of the location in the "Address" field.
  • Click on the "Create location" button to add the new device location.

The device location will appear in the list of locations in the "Readers" tab. You can click on the location to view and manage the devices that are associated with it. This can be useful if you have multiple devices that you want to manage separately, or if you have devices at different physical locations

"By using Terminal Device, payment requires following credentials

  • Stripe API key:
  • You will need a valid API key from your Stripe account. The API key allows your Terminal device to communicate securely with Stripe's servers for processing payments and retrieving information.

  • Location Id:
  • The Location ID is a unique identifier for the specific physical location where your Terminal device is being used.

  • Registration code:
  • Each Terminal device has a unique registration code that needs to be entered during the device setup process. The registration code ensures that the device is associated with your Stripe account.

  • Device name: (assign any name)
  • You can assign a name to your Terminal device for easy identification. This is particularly useful if you have multiple devices associated with your Stripe account.
