BEONE Two Step Rating

With Odoo there is a problem with the customer evaluation system. When an anti-spam/anti-virus inspects the customer evaluation email sent, it regularly clicks on all the links to check if they are safe.

This regularly creates false positives/negatives, even if the customer did not actually click on the link or even open the email.

This module changes Odoo's behavior to require the user to choose the evaluation rating directly on the website, rather than in the email. This is done in 2 steps.

All that is needed is to activate the "Two-Step Validation" checkbox in the general settings of Odoo. Clicks on the smileys will not save the chosen rating; the user will have to submit the form to validate the rating.

In addition to installing the module, we recommend that you also adapt the evaluation email templates so that you no longer offer the 3 choices in the evaluation emails sent.
This is not mandatory, but it will avoid any confusion.

The email templates concerned are (if module installed) :

  • Helpdesk: Ticket Rating Request
  • Project: Task Rating Request
  • Subscription: Rating Request

You can remove the 3 smileys and replace them with:

<a t-attf-href="/rate/{{ access_token }}/0">
    <img alt="Rate us" src="/beone_two_step_rating/static/src/img/rating_to_do.png" title="Rate us">
</a>
