Module settings
To install the DMS Validation module (kw_dms_validation) in the Odoo system, go to the Applications menu and type DMS Validation in the search box. Install the downloaded module.
Next, go to the Documents menu and select the Settings/Document types tab.
If you wish, you can create a new document type or edit the current document. In the created document type, specify "Name", add a reference book if necessary, and check the "Subject to verification" box. Next, you will have a choice:
automatic sequence - the order of approval can be chaotic, the order is not important;
sequence check - a mandatory sequence check is performed, indicated in the lower table part;
only one validator - one person from the list can approve.
You can also select the additional function to approve or reject the document with a comment, which additionally provides an opportunity to comment on what is wrong with the document. At the bottom of the window, on the Validators tab, specify the users who should validate this document - it can be either one person or a group of people. Save the settings.
Returning to the Documents section, to create a new document, click the Create button. Specify the type - For verification, select the required reference book, upload the file, and then click the "Save" button.
The system will immediately display a list of users who need to approve the document. The document will be in "Draft" status until the next action of the user who needs to check the document.
The document will be displayed in the Documents/Documents for approval section for the user specified in this document type. It is also possible to set validators (persons who confirm the document) in the document itself.
The user who has to approve the document has two functions to choose from: Approve and Reject. For this purpose, there are corresponding buttons in the top panel of the document. After approval or rejection, the status of the document changes and is displayed to all users of the system.
