Approvals Sale Order
Description
This module enhances the Odoo Approvals module by focusing on seeking and granting permissions for sales requirements. It facilitates the creation of server actions within Approval Types based on specific approval requirements.
Configuration
Go to Approvals - - > Configuration - - > Approval Type to create a new approval type.
We can add server action based on the approval requirements in the approval type by enabling the automated boolean.
For Example: Creating a new approval type “SO Mobile Check” inorder to ask for approval if there is no mobile number present for the contact.
Sales Order field is required since approval is needed in the Sale Order Form.
Select the approver name in the Approvers field based on the requirement.
Example Conditions for server action are given in the Approval Request Needed field and Approval Required Cleared field.
Go to Sales to create a new quotation where the mobile number of the customer is not present. While confirming the Sale Order, A warning message “Approvals are required” appears as shown below.
Under the Other Info Tab, there is a field named “Approval Required” which will be enabled automatically when the approval is created for the sale order.
Click on the Approvals button on top of the Sale Order form.
This SO Mobile Check approval is needed when Mobile Required for the Customer.
Once approved, Go to the Sale Order and under Other Info Tab where another field named “Approved” is set automatically once the request is approved by the approver.
We can see the status as approved for SO Mobile Check in the Approval Tab and hence we can proceed with the sale order flow.
There is also a scheduled action “Process Approvals”.
This Scheduled Action checks the Sale Orders whether the Approvals are still needed or to be cleared if the required value is set for which the Approval is created in the first place.
