What is Smart Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?
A single password is not enough to secure your Odoo. To enhance this, Odoo supports 2FA but it requires a code every time you login which creates friction:
Using the Smart 2FA plugin, your users don’t need to enter a code every time they login. CrossClassify detects suspicious activities and abnormal behavior during and after login using AI models that are fine-tuned for fraud prevention. Then it will block the account and notify the owner if the risk is high.
Steps to install Smart 2FA plugin
Step 1:
Visit https://crossclassify.com and click “See the lightning demo”
Step 2:
Enter “Odoo” as Name with your email address.
Step 3:
CrossClassify will email you 4 required fields for the setup. These are: Auth token, Project ID, API Key, and SiteID.
Step 4:
Install the plugin and enter the 4 fields that are emailed to you:
Step 5:
Enable 2-factor authentication in the user preferences in Odoo.
CrossClassify protects your app using a concept called behavioral metrics. You can see an example of these metrics for a blocked account in CrossClassify dashboard in the screenshot below:
You can see a summary of all approved and blocked user accounts in the CrossClassify dashboard as shown below.
The platform will also notify you of any recently blocked users.
