Seasonal Reordering Rules

Description

This module is configured to add months field on the Order points. Run scheduler will check for these months fields and filter out the order points that are set to run on the current month.

Configuration

Go to Inventory - - > Configuration - - > Reordering Rules. Configure months on each one of them.

Functionality

After installing the Seasonal Reordering Rules application, the feature will be enabled.

Go to Inventory - - > Products. Select any product and click on Reordering rules.

Set the Reordering rules for the product and a “Months Active” field is added for this functionality where we can add or remove the months based on our requirement.

Go to Inventory - - > Operations - - > Run Scheduler.

Go to Purchase where we could see a purchase order created for the product as shown below.

Note:  For existing reordering rules records, by default it sets all the months in the Months Active field.

If we create a new reordering rules record, by default it sets all the months in the Months Active field.

If we don't set an active month (current month) in the Months Active field, the reordering rule scheduler will not be triggered.

We can set the required months for the product’s reordering rule to occur in the Months Active field.
