  • Create Job Type

  • Job Labour Cost Account - Type Provision
  • Advance / Un Recognized Income A/c - Type Provision
  • Project Revenue - Type Income
  • Project Expenses - Type Expenses
  • Raw Material
  • Product Master > Product Type = Stockable
  • Set Stock out account as WIP Account
  • Labour Cost Booking

  • Create Employees
  • Link User and Home address in Employee Master
  • Employee Time Sheet Product
  • Product Master > Product Type = Service
  • Set the product cost (overhead rate) and selling price (for estimation)
  • Set Job Labour Cost Account as revenue and expense account
  • Labour Cost to WIP [ Contracting > Job Costing > Labaour Cost ]
  • Total hours spent for the project from hr timesheet activities
  • Calculating overhead rate from the service product cost linked in employee master multiplied by the hours worked in each project.
  • Actual Amount is calculated from gross salary of the employee divided by total working hours for the month multiplied by the hours worked in each project.
  • In Validation WIP Account will be Debited and Provision account (Job Labour Cost Account) will be credited
  • If Actual rate is ticked Actual amount is posted otherwise overhead amount is posted in journal entries
  • Material Issue

  • Create Type Of Operation in Warehouse Material Issue
  • Source - WH/Stock
  • Destination - Partners Location/Customers
  • Create Stock Move - All operation > Material Issue
  • Select the Project /Analytic in stock Picking
  • Journal Entries - Account Move
  • Inventory will be Credited with Analytic Account
  • WIP Account will be Debited with Analytic Account
  • Asset Usage in Project

  • Create Assets
  • Create Asset Usage (Define Debit & Credit Accounts)
  • Enter Asset Timesheet with usage and Project details
  • Post Timesheet to Projects
  • Direct Project Expenses

    Journal Entries

  • In Journal Entries Using WIP account with Analytic account cost can be booked to projects
  • Through Supplier Invoice Using WIP sub contractor and other direct expenses can be booked
  • Project Invoice & Closing

    Using Customer invoice with analytic account Receivable can be booked and Advance / Un Recognised Income A/c will be credited instead directly booking to Profit & Loss Account

  • Select Analytic Account - Project
  • Select Invoiced / Advance Account
  • Select Project Income Account
  • Select WIP Account
  • Select Project Cost Account
  • Enable Provision (if need a provision for contingencies)
  • Provision Account
  • In validate journal entry will be created
  • Project Income Account Credit A Value
  • WIP Credit B Value
  • Provision account Credit C Value
  • Invoice / Advanced Account Debit A Value
  • Project Cost of Sales Debit B Value + C Value

    Are you planning an upgrade for v11? We need to demo something like your product by Dec19, can we have a trial? We are a serious Odoo partner and will never reuse trial code or sell it without consent of the developer.
